Udaipur is the most picturesque place in Rajasthan, also known as the white city of Rajasthan. It is not only famous for its beautiful architecture, but also for shopping, eating, traveling, newly introduced adventure sports, and much more things.
Udaipur has major tourist places such as Grand City Palace, holy Jagdish Temple, beautiful Saheliyon ki Bari, absorbing Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal, angelic Lake Pichola, places to shop like Haathipole, places to eat, every corner of the city has a famous eatery.
The architecture with multiple forms such as partial Rajasthani with Muglai, European, Chinese which tend to be the beauteous factors of Udaipur.
I had never thought of such Rajasthan, Surrounded by the Aravallis, lakes so calm and serene. Undoubtedly the famous tourist places are beyond amazing cannot be expressed in words. There is something which can felt by visiting there itself in the tour package.
Udaipur was a nice, convenient sized city to explore on my own. the locals were friendly and ever ready for a chat whether the shopkeepers or rickshawalas or chaiwalas and an opportunity to share the gossips and other little things of their city with me. There was a local street vendor who pointed me to the shop which selling the best sweets I have ever eaten. While eating the sweets I had a small conversation with the vendor, he told me about some amazing shops for Rajasthani clothes and other local stuff.
Traveling in Udaipur is fun, as the city is quite small. Book Udaipur Tour Packages with us. Vehicles as auto rickshaw are the best one, I think, Another great way to explore the city is to hire a rental bicycle and explore the city on a bicycle.
Being the major tourist attraction in Rajasthan, there are a good number of hotels and hostels. Budget and luxury both. I had stayed in a backpacking hostel which was again quite nice where I met some more fellow travelers, it was fun throughout.
Local people there informed me about some newly introduced activities in the city, such as sports adventure, Zipline some fascinating Heritage walks, which takes you to the old Mewar culture and old places of Udaipur. I took the heritage walk with some travel company in those small lanes of Udaipur, and also told me about the history and the local culture in Udaipur.
I discovered and asked about a lot of places to eat such as Khau Gali, Ambrai Ghat. Small roadside vendors sell bread bade and kullad coffees which are quite famous and super amazing at Fateh Sagar lake. Vada pav outside at Lok Kala Mandal, poha at Udaipole, gulaab Jaamun from Lala, there is so much more other than all of this at every small corner of this white city.
Udaipur cannot be left without shopping from the local markets. I took some traditional jewellery, clothes such as bandhani dupattas, Kurtis, and some nice stoles. While wandering in the lanes I saw some beautiful wooden handicrafts, in Hathipole, Other than hathipole Bapu Bazar and the nearby areas of the Jagdish temple were also very attracting markets. Someone told me the Kaawads of the Udaipur are very famous which has a phad painting done on them, which is the special handicraft which is available there.
Besides the local markets, Udaipur has malls also, such as Lake city mall, Celebration Mall, RK mall they can consider too.
I went Udaipur in the month of October by car rental service the weather was quite pleasing that time, I think this weather is the best one to visit there just after the monsoon.
